During your GDC panel you said that you were adamant about having the game control with the Wii remote exclusively. Theres a hack called Maxximum Edition that does exactly this (and more QOL fixes), check it out If you are itching for Metroid and haven't played Other M because of the critics, please, try it this way, I enjoyed it a lot, even speed run it a few times later. Theres a problem with this though, it makes the game easy, I haven't found a fix but maybe there's a mod that makes the game harder. Thankfully there is a fix for this, a cheat code, yes, a cheat code will make this game become much more playable and enjoyable, it will allow you to shoot missile in third person, allowing for a fast fluid combat and having to switch to first person just a few times through the game. What is the problem with Other M gameplay? having to switch to first person mode ( a feature brought needlesly from the Prime series), some enemies just need missiles to beat them but that requires you to stop your movement and switch to first person, breaking the pace of the combat and thus not releasing its full potential as a game. Yes, the cutscenes can be awkward and not to everyone's liking, the game still have some faults like the damn pixel hunts.but the gameplay is top notch.
Im not crazy, Other M is not as bad as people made it out to be.
