I'm not sure if any of that info is useful to your question, so could you clarify a bit as to what you have now and what exactly you're trying to do. It would be straightforward to use the Saver node to save one frame of a composition. There are also some community-made Fusion tools that have additional rendering options, though I think those are also limited to saving in EXR format. On the Fusion page you also have the option of rendering directly from Fusion using the Saver node, but has been limited such that it will only save to EXR image files/sequences. It could be automated with scripting, though.
Rendering one frame from each of a group of clips is possible on Deliver, though it would be time consuming and non-automatic. On Deliver you can render to a large range of different formats, both video and image sequences. There are various options on Deliver for rendering, for example you can set In and Out points and render only between those. In Resolve, rendering is handled on the Deliver page. What do you mean by only the first frame being rendered? You want to render out one frame for each of a group of clips - like a single-frame snapshot/still of that clip? Or you want your stills to display for only one frame before going on to the next? Or something else?
